This house near Thedford, ON was abandoned in 1976 and the original photograph taken in 2010. The owner passed away in 2011. The lands have been cleared for new construction. The mixed media version of this image must be ordered directly from the artist at LBruceRitchie@gmail.com or at www.acbr.com/gallery . The mixed media painting is created in archival pigments and acrylics on archival canvas. Taking advantage of ambient light transmission, reflection, refraction and the Fresnel effect, the acrylics range from opaque to transparent to bas relief depth to give the image a rich, 3D texture and appearance.
These mixed media paintings are each unique, original and individually signed by the artist.
